Subaru Adventures - Spiffy's subaru in action!

Where my fun begins.

This page has been created to document the various adventures I go on in my Subaru. I love to drive and take pictures so I thought I'd do a little of both at once and document it on the web. Here you will see pages containing a brief description of each adventure and a lot of thumbnail-sized pictures with a short description for each one. Click on the thumbnails to get a larger version of the picture.

Most of these adventures take place in the California Sierra-Nevada mountains unless noted otherwise. Town names will be mentioned and you can easily locate most of the major ones on a map.

The outings:

11/20/2 - Subaru Junkie, Jeremy, Immortal, Orion, and I took another Sierra Subies adventure to Kyburz. We were able to find a little snow and see how well Jeremy's hatch looked against the picturesque mountain backdrop.

11/6/2 - Subaru Junkie, Katie, Bugs, Orion, and I finally made it up to Kyburz for this Sierra Subies trip. The trails were a lot like the Stanislaus forest and just as beautiful. Junkie messed up his strut tower having too much fun.

10/4/2 - 10/6/2 - Change, Subaru Junkie, Orion, and I took a 2-day, 2-night trip through the Stanislaus forest. We crossed a lot of tricky terrain and even got stuck a few times. A great time was had by all.

9/14/2 - ShaggyDog, Tommithy, Fiesty, Orion, Haas, Maggie and I took the Chevy Luv for a test drive up to Pinecrest via forest roads on the south side of highway 108. Great scenery without much incident.

9/2/2 - SubaruJunkie, Orion and I complete the first Sierra Subies adventure by leading Junkie on mostly familiar trails from the last outing. This time we consult the map and only get slightly off-course.

7/13/2 - 7/14/2 - ShaggyDog, Change, Immortal, Orion and I decided we'd go from Mountain Knight up to Lyon's Lake. We passed our destination, a day late, but we had a fun time on the way.

7/8/2 - Change, Orion and I took a trip from Tuolumne up to Long Barn on forest service access roads and logging roads. We ended up at a lot of dead-ends, but we eventually made it to our destination.

7/6/2 - Freak Monkey, Orion and I took a trip from Livermore, CA to Patterson, CA while looking for a place to take our newly aquired subies off-road. After a long search we found something suitable.
